To be considered for this Early Years Teaching Assistant opportunity you must have the following:
1st or 2:1 degree - Russell Group (preferable) in a psychology / core subject
A passion to support others
  • Prior school, E ducation or tutoring experience would be preferred
  • EYFS, Early Years' experience would be desirable
  • Strong behaviour management

This thriving primary school are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support the learning of children in EYFS. The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with pupils on an individuals and group basis, supervising their physical/general care, and enabling their access to learning and assisting the class teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

As a successful Early Years Teaching Assistant you would need to be a graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or better in psychology or a core subject area. Previous experience working with EYFS children would be preferable but it doesn't have to be within a school setting.

Forming meaningful relationships with others and engaging with both pupils and other staff members are vital ingredients to make this Early Years Teaching Assistant role work. The school want to see that you have the potential to build trust with the students and engage them within activities that will support and nurture their learning.
