EYFS Teaching Assistant Specification
This EYFS Teaching Assistant role is suitable for aspiring teachers ready to hit the ground running in a new role! You must hold a degree of 2:1 or above as well as a previous history of strong academics. You should be able to show a depth of experience having previously worked with young people and be open to guidance and feedback based on the schools behavioral and safeguarding rules.

It is vital that you are a compassionate individual and are open to working with SEN students as well as pupils with EAL. While this wont be the staple of your role, you may be required to help when necessary.

About the EYFS Teaching Assistant Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be working within the EYFS department with a talented team of educators. This role requires complete concentration and dedication to the role as working with such young children. The school have a highly creative approach to learning so will encourage learn-through-play.

You will be working within the phase on an ad-hoc basis, working within the yea group as and when support is needed. The role requires an individual who is good with building relationships due to children needing to build these early on from meeting someone.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant you will be given the chance to plan some lessons and activities yourself, you will be guided on how to create imaginative sessions that are accessible to all students.
