Remedy Education are seeking an English graduate for September 2018, to work as a graduate teaching assistant in a fantastic secondary school based in Southwark, with the option to progress onto a School Direct programme.

If you hold or have been predicted at least a 2:1 or above degree in English or an English related degree and are committed to helping pupils reach their potential, we would love to hear from you today!

*English Graduate Teaching Assistant
*Must hold at least a 2:1 English degree with ideally an A at English A-Level
*Southwark Secondary School
*September 2018 start - full academic year
*Full-time role - Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 4.30pm
*Earn £75 - £90 per day
*Ideally suited to aspiring English teachers
*Perfect preparation for a teacher training programme
*School Direct Option at the end of the year

Working as an English graduate teaching assistant is the ideal role for an English graduate who is actively looking to start a career in teaching. Rather than jumping immediately into a teacher training programme, this school will give you the opportunity to work directly with English students, supporting their progress across Key Stage 4. This position will improve your skill-set and classroom confidence and will fully prepare you for your teacher training.

As an English graduate teaching assistant, you will be joining the English department where you will be adding value to the teachers in the classroom by directly supporting lower-attaining pupils. With full support from the teachers and head of department, you will plan and lead small intervention groups of 4 or 5 students. These are highly rewarding positions and for an aspiring English teacher and can give you a true insight into the life of a teacher.

This is a wonderful opportunity, to spend a full academic year learning from fantastic teachers and leaders and potentially progress onto their School Direct programme.
