Enforcement Officer.

Remedy Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a local authority within London and are currently seeking an Experienced Enforcement Manager. This a fast pace exciting role that sits within the Housing Needs.

Job Purpose -


To encourage compliance with tenancy terms and conditions on estates, take appropriate
enforcement action to deal with all breaches of tenancy including nuisance and anti-social
behaviour occurring within housing properties or estates; liaising with appropriate agencies
and other departments and leading the response on serious or complex cases, pursuing
legal remedies where necessary or utilising mediation techniques to resolve problems
where appropriate.

The post holder will be committed to the primary company objectives to ensure that a customer
focused service is provided and that service delivery is to the highest standards of customer care
and quality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities.

  1. To carry out a number of tenancy management duties, that will include:
    ·Investigating allegations of unauthorised occupants and tenancy abandonment
    ·Annual tenancy checks/audits
    · Determining issues of succession and assignment
    · Making changes to the tenancy
    · Taking action to recover possession of a property either where the property is being
    squatted or occupied by an unauthorised occupant
    2. Undertake investigations into breaches of tenancy agreement, nuisance and anti-social
    behaviour.
    3. To take enforcement action where necessary to ensure that the terms of the tenancy
    agreement are complied with.
    4. To investigate and take action against perpetrators of serious anti-social behaviour on
    estates involving all tenures and provide services to residents suffering ASB/nuisance in
    accordance with LL's service standards.
    5. Manage a day to day caseload of tenancy enforcement, nuisance and ASB cases, monitor
    cases of persistent breaches of tenancy and carry out associated administrative functions
    of the team.
    6. Ensure accurate recording of all cases using existing systems to monitor progress, case
    developments and performance.
