Remedy recruitment group are currently seeking an experienced, Social Worker to join their adoption team!

The applicant will be required to adopt an agile working approach across the Together for Adoption footprint, and some out of hours flexible working is required.

Key responsibilities include:

To ensure that adopted children and their adoptive families who may need support, receive appropriate assessments which identity needs.

To create, develop and deliver a range of support services. (this may involve some evening and weekend working).

To work with social workers and other professionals/agencies as appropriate, to ensure delivery of appropriate interventions and support to adopted children, their adoptive families and birth relatives as appropriate.

To lead the development of responsive adoption support, including therapeutic interventions.

To provide advice and consultation to social workers, link workers and adoptive families.

To assist in the delivery of a training programme for staff and adoptive families.

To be a qualified as a social worker and registered with the HCPC

Experienced in assessments with good written and communication skills

Knowledge and skills grounded in safeguarding and statutory responsibilities in relation to children and adults.

To maintain a high level of knowledge in relation to developments within the field of adoption support, and to assist the department in any changes necessary to maintain a high standard of service.

To assist in the monitoring, evaluation and performance management of adoption support plans, together with the wider service.

To cooperate fully with external monitoring of the service, including inspections.

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
