Early Years Teaching Assistant Specification:
The school wants to meet a positive graduate or an experienced SEN TA who has already held a school-based position and preferably has a degree. The school wants to see candidates who have effective and clear communication skills and specialist subject knowledge gained from their degree. The successful Reception Teaching Assistant must have the skills to demonstrate a desire to teach and take care of the pupils in your care. As the Reception Teaching Assistant, you must inspire your pupils to achieve and to be an inspiration to your students.
Early Years Teaching Assistant Role:
As a Reception Teaching Assistant you will be assisting with the learning and supporting a cheerful Reception class and you will be adding extensively to the creative philosophy of the department.
As a Reception Teaching Assistant, it will be up to you to lead sessions for individuals or small groups in order to boost attainment for high achievers or just general class room support. This school will provide you with all the tools and resources you could need to deliver exciting and engaging lessons and it will be down to you to use these as you see fit.
My client takes pride in developing outstanding teaching and learning by holding the highest expectations of all their pupils and knowing the children well. All staff members challenge the children to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal accomplishment within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum.
In order to create an inclusive school where everyone can flourish, whatever their background, they promote an ethos of respect and empathy, where diversity is valued and celebrated - both within school and the wider world. Safeguarding and welfare is extremely important and pupils are taught the virtues of kindness, appreciation and what it means to be courageous. Special care is taken to educate everyone in the school community about the needs of others and how best to meet them.
