Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Starting ASAP - Complex Needs School

Are you currently supporting children or adults with complex needs and would now like to gain experience as am SEN teaching assistant?

Located in Islington, this complex needs school caters for students between the ages of 4-16 years that have severe and complex needs. The school is considered to be one of the best schools of its kind in North London. The whole team are extremely supportive and work tirelessly to ensure that all pupils have an amazing learning experience. The school is located just a 5-minute walk from an Overground station and 10 minutes from an underground station, making it very easily accessible by public transport links. Car parking spaces are also available to staff.

To be considered for this role you must;

  • Have experience working with children with PMLD, SLD,ASD, HI or VI
  • Be personable, calm and patient
  • Have a positive attitude and enjoy working with SEND children
  • Be willing to be pro-active and act on the guidance of the class teacher
  • Be available full time Monday to Friday from 08:30hrs - 16:00hrs

The Role - Complex Needs Teaching Assistant


For this teaching assistant position you will be supporting children between the ages of 4-16 years that have severe and complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe learning difficulties, Autism, Visual and Hearing impairments. Therefore, you must have previous experience supporting children or adults with complex needs so that you can take on this teaching assistant role efficiently. Personal care will also be involved in this complex needs teaching assistant role.
