We are a Covid-safe organisation and you will have an individual risk assessment when you join the organisation to ensure we effectively support your health and wellbeing throughout your employment

Your development

We don't believe in traditional annual appraisals - instead we have something called a PDR (Personal Development Review) to help you and your manager to talk about you, your achievements, your challenges, and most importantly, your future career aspirations and development needs.

We offer the same training opportunities to our agency staff as permanent workers to allow everyone to grow and strive towards the same goal to help Salford children and their families.

It is easy to use, and you can access it anytime, anywhere; you can even complete it at home if you wish! Here at Salford we're passionate about supporting our colleagues to look after their health and wellbeing. We create an environment which promotes positive physical and mental health in the workplace and encourage and support employees to develop a healthy lifestyle. We also create a management culture of openness and communication and support colleagues who have manageable physical and mental health conditions or disabilities to maintain access and return to work.

TOIL

We understand that TOIL is accrued due to the nature of the job and that at times the work we do is outside of the normal working hours. Some people like to accrue the TOIL to take over a period of time, ie 3 days or a week. If you wish to take your TOIL over a period of time please speak to your line manager to approve and ensure that the workforce is staffed efficiently to undertake normal business.

The current caseloads on the team range between 23 to 25, and will be capped at 25. However ongoing work is always being undertaken to reduce caseloads when safe to do so.

Induction period

We offer all our agency staff a 5 day induction period, during this time you will not be allocated a caseload.
