Our client, Caerphilly County Borough Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their Childrens 16 Plus team.

The 16 Plus Team are looking to achieve the best long-term outcomes for the young people they work with, The Team strives to support young people making their transition into adulthood an easier and more manageable experience.

As a Social worker within the 16 Plus Team you will be responsible for working in partnership with young people, their carers and other professionals including Personal Advisers to complete high quality assessments in order to develop pathway plans. The Team also has responsibility to assess the needs of young people age 16/17 who present as Homeless to the department.

You will also be required to contribute to service developments and occasionally take the lead on arranging meaningful activities that will benefit young people. You will assist other staff in developing and facilitating group work sessions when particular issues arise.

You will need to have a genuine interest in working with teenagers and be able to communicate with them regardless of their situations.

In turn you will become part of an established and experienced Team. You will receive regular supervision support and guidance and become part of a motivated and committed Team.

You will need to be:

Social work registered
Eligible to work in the UK
Atleast 1 year post qualifying experience
