Job description

Remedy Education are looking for Special Needs Teachers to work in full time, contract roles in a British Sign Language (BSL) department in South East London as a teaching assistant.

As a minimum requirement you will be working towards your BSL level 2.

Remedy Education are one of the leading recruitment agencies and work with a number of excellent schools. If you hold a QTS or have experience within the world of Special Needs, more specifically within schools, we want to hear from you.

As an SEN Teacher, you must have a natural aptitude on the behaviour management and interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, SLD, PMLD or Behaviour Issues.

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, committed and flexible and have a love of teaching students with special educational needs, including learning outside of the classroom and teaching life skills. You will want to inspire and motivate students and will not mind students who are sometimes anxious and show challenging behaviour.

All successful candidates will be subject to DBS and reference checks and will need to have the 'right to work' in the UK.

In order to apply, please contact Carly Walters at Remedy Education.
