BSL Support Specialist - Job Specification:
This role perfectly suits a Graduate who has completed a degree that links closely to Speech and Language Development. Graduates who now want to put their degree content into practice will be the perfect fit for this SEN support role. Whilst there is access to CPD training at the school, a requirement of Level 1 BSL is required from the outset. Personality-wise, you will need to be caring, thoughtful, patient and genuinely want to make a difference in the lives of the pupils you are working with.


About the Hearing Impairment TA role
In this TA role, you will be required to support and help the development of Hearing Impaired students across the ages of 4-11, supporting their academic studies, develop students social and communication skills in hearing-impaired SEN settings. You will be required to create a stimulating and welcoming learning environment for pupils within the classroom. You will be assisting deaf and hearing impaired children to develop their language and communication skills. You will be planning, preparing and delivering sessions to develop use and understanding of British Sign Language (BSL) for deaf children.
