Benefits Assessment Officer- East London

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Benefit Officer who would like to join our forward looking benefit service?

As a benefit officer you will be responsible for assessing all types of benefit claims and will be proactive in your approach.

You will work in collaboration with other service areas to improve current processes and engage without residents in order to deal with all aspects of Housing benefit and Council Tax Support, providing an excellent service, The ability to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines will be an essential part of your daily routine, you will be able to explain complex financial assessments as you will be dealing with sensitive and contentious situations.

The successful candidates will have a recent relevant assessment experience in working in a Housing Benefit & Council Tax reduction environment, processing claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction.
