** Autism Specialist - Teaching Assistant **

** Behaviour Management **

** £70 - £85 Daily Rate **

** Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4pm **

We are currently seeking a Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to work, motivate and support children of all ages with their abilities in classroom and the developments within their learning. The Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant must be able to have the experience working with children with challenging behaviour, successfully being able to promote positive behaviour and supporting the students to progress in their academics.

Autism Specialist - Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Building a positive rapport with students
  • Supporting and managing students behaviour in class
  • Supporting students in small groups and on a one to one basis
  • Preparing learning resources and materials suited to the needs of the students
  • To support the class teacher to enhance pupil's learning either in groups or individually
  • Ensuring students understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to make progress
  • Working alongside other members of staff; class teacher, SENCO etc

Autism Specialist - Teaching Assistant MUST:

  • Excellent Behaviour management skills
  • Excellent knowledge for the Autistic Spectrum
  • An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
  • Up to date First Aid training
  • Up to date Safeguarding training
  • Valid DBS
  • 1+ years experience working in a similar role
