Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to work within a Mental Health Team for a Local Authority based in South West London.
The Assistant Team Manager (Mental Health) supports the Team Manager in managing and leading the team, ensuring the delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient, person-centred service for adults with mental health social care needs and their carers. This includes the supervision of social workers and community support workers within the service and acting a Safeguarding Adult Manager (SAM).
The role provides leadership professional supervision to practitioners in the team to provide direction, maintain practice standards and promote continuous professional development.
- HCPC registration required
- Knowledge of current developments in relevant legislation, national guidance and frameworks and how to access more detailed information when necessary.
- Knowledge and understanding of the local authority's responsibility to safeguard adults at risk and the ability to act as Safeguarding Adults Manager.
- Ability to carry out delegated management responsibilities, including deputising for the Team Manager, prioritisation of the incoming work for a team and performance management.
