Job description

Duties include:

* To assist with the effective and efficient delivery of the service in line with relevant policies and guidelines
* To ensure the service assists in promoting independence and supporting users through enablement to maximise their independence for as long as possible
* To ensure that the service meets the standards set by the Council and external bodies with quality standards relevant to the service.

Essential:

  1. Ability to assess personal care and support needs of service users whilst balancing risk with the promotion of independence.
  2. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of people both orally and in writing.
  3. A good working knowledge of positive risk taking, risk assessment/management and safeguarding adults
  4. Ability to plan and maximise use of care hours and staffing resources
  5. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary environment
  6. Ability to work using own initiative as part of a team while managing workload efficiently.
  7. Experience of managing a rota system.
  8. Ability to supervise and manage performance of staff effectively

Desirable:

  1. Trusted assessor for providing enabling equipment to clients
