This is a diverse role that will develop and deliver the commissioning strategy for adult social care the role will ensure commissioned services are high performing, customer focused and effective and promote independence, meet the needs of residents, improve outcomes and deliver personalised services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* commissioning of adult social care provision

* building capacity and resilience to sustain independent service delivery from within communities, including commissioning community services and enhancing third sector and community relations

* commissioning family support and public health services, including carer support, health visiting and school nursing

* strategic housing, including long term strategy development, provision of affordable housing, homelessness, housing options, alongside ensuring provision and quality of private sector housing and provision of specialist (sheltered) housing
