Job description

ASD Teacher - Greenwich - Secondary SEN school

Greenwich

ASAP Start

A Special Needs School in Greenwich is recruiting an experienced ASD teacher to start ASAP for the full academic year. This is a full-time post.

The school is located in Greenwich and pupils aged 11-19 years old, with EHCPs for ASD and Aspergers Syndrome. As well as offering students an engaging curriculum, they also work hard to develop communication and social skills. The school is in a state-of-the-art building, offering a wealth of resources to both students and pupils.

Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience in the UK, ideally within a SEN school, however the school are happy to meet with mainstream teachers, who have an interest in SEN. Even though the role is for a KS3 teacher (Y7) the students are currently working at primary level. Classes will consist of 4-6 students of varying abilities; therefore, it is imperative you are confident planning inclusive, individualised lessons. You will also be responsible for carrying out assessments and reporting progress to SLT.

As a high achieving school, they are keen to employ staff who are dedicated, dynamic and have a real passion for SEN.

Key Skills:

  • QTS
  • Experience within a UK school
  • Be available full time for the full academic year
  • Experience and understanding of ASD and Communication needs

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS if your current DBS is not on the update service.

Remedy Education is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and therefore will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation.

If you are looking for a rewarding role in SEND and want to make difference, we want to hear from you! Please submit your CV today or you can contact Carly Walters on or via email,
