Job description

Qualified Social Worker,

If you are a Qualified Social Worker with a background working with Children in Need, we want to hear from you.

You will be building effective relationship with the Child in question, to ensure a ful\ly integrated and holistic approach.

Main duties include:

  • Under the guidance of the Team Manager or Senior Social Worker effectively manage a restricted case load with a complexity commensurate with the level of AYSE competence.
  • Provide a statutory range of assessments, reviews and reassessments using social work methods, theories and models to identify actions to achieve change and development, and that improve life opportunities.
  • Work within all relevant legislative requirements, policy and procedures to assess and meet the needs of adults and their circle of support and to provide appropriate support through the offer of a personal budget where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive and comprehensible records in accordance with applicable legislation, protocols and guidelines.
  • Arrange and chair planning meetings, customer reviews and other ad hoc meetings as required.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • ASYE complete
  • Experience with Children in Need
