For this post you should be a motivated Psychology graduate who has already held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children and a 2:1 or better in your psychology degree.

You will possess an endearing personality that encourages and motivates your pupils. You will have a way of reaching all pupils under your care, by effectively communicating with them always.

About the Role - 1:1 Teaching Assistant for Autism

As an Autism Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the progress of a Year 4 boy as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant who has been identified as on the Autism Spectrum. You will have the responsibility of enjoying a comprehensive training and continual professional development package that in other schools, would only be on offer to teachers and NQTs.

In general, you will be working and developing through the clear advice and direction of a purposeful Special Educational Needs Coordinator who is well liked throughout the school.
