London SERemedy Education are currently recruiting for a Math’s & English SEN Teacher to start in September 2012, working in South East London.
The role is to work with a student on a 1:1 basis who is currently working towards there GSCE’s who has EBD difficulties.
This school is an EBD School and this post will be focussing on taking low ability GCSE Maths’s and English classes.
There will be some low ability English/Math’s classes to deliver at KS2 and 3 but the main focus with be on KS3/4 English & Mathematics.
This post would suit a Teacher looking to progress into a career in SEN and does not require any experience in this type of School however experience with challenging behaviour is essential.
The right candidate will have a very strong presence in the classroom, have a calm and patient manner and have a passion for working to help encourage students to achieve the best of their ability. Excellent knowledge of the GCSE Maths and English syllabus and strong classroom management skills are essential for this role.
The ideal teacher for this role will:
*Have QTS or an overseas equivalent qualification
*Be well organised with high expectations of achievement an behavior
*Enjoy working as part of a team
*Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
*Have great organisational and time management skills
