SEMH Teaching Assistant - Walthamstow, East London

Remedy Education are looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant with excellent mentoring and rapport building skills to work in a challenging and diverse environment with a highly vulnerable cohort of pupils in Walthamstow, East London. This role is based at a special school that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The school caters for students with ASD, ADHD, EBD, SEMH and mild learning difficulties. The role will be a full-time role between 8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday.

You will be providing one-to-one, group and classroom support to students throughout the day, firstly ensuring their day is comfortable, but also encouraging them to learn in accordance with their ability, these students do follow a curriculum (although way below national curriculum levels)

Ideally you will have experienced support vulnerable children or adults or educated in psychology/sociology/criminology fields to a Further Education level.
