Job description

Advanced Practitioner - Fostering Support - Wigan Council, Greater Manchester - Up to £40ph!

  • Experience in managing support workers and or social workers
  • Deputising for Team Manager in absence/leave
  • Experience of working within a busy and fast paced fostering team
  • Knowledge and experience of LADO and OFSTED procedures and notifications
  • Knowledge and experience of LA Stability panels
  • Desired - knowledge and use of liquid logic
  • Supporting a small caseload of more complex foster carers, children and young people. Having sound knowledge of times in which support needs to be increased
  • Providing fostering families with support guidance and advice. Completing annual reviews and all associated paperwork within timescale
  • Duty rota, being included within the management duty rota - office based, one week at a time.
  • Office working day Thursdays for all staff (further office days as required to complete role), Opportunities to work from home.
  • Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding
  • Experience of quality assurance
